Title
Indigenous EYEcon
Artist
Donna Proctor
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
In the United States of America, the bald eagle is both the national bird and national animal. They became the national emblem and pride of a nation for the United States of America in 1782.
Titled Indigenous EYEcon since the native American bald eagle is sacred, and the Messengers of The Creator for many First Nations tribes.
I dedicate this painting to North American First Nation people, and all men and women who have served in the United States military whether deceased, retired, veterans or currently serving their country.
Original is 16x20 oil on stretched canvas.

Note: In 2009, someone sent me a photo of the original of this image. They thought it would make a great painting. I scoured the internet for 3 months trying to locate where it originally came from so I could ask for permission to sell prints of my painting. I had little to go on ... there was what resembled foreign characters as the signature on the lower right hand corner of the photo. I had absolutely no luck finding the original photographer.
Before adding this image to FAA, I contacted the owner Sean. I told him what I just shared above and asked him how he felt about my adding it to my portfolio ... he advised me he had no problem with it what-so-ever.
If anyone knows who the original photographer is, please contact me. Thank you.

Exceptionally talented. One of the best I’ve seen on this site, and I haven’t written that before. Bravo!

Amazing work, Donna! He reminds me of an older guy, a little tired perhaps, but with lots of fight left in him. :)) F/V.
