Description
The Whooping Crane is only one of two crane species found in North America; the other is the Sandhill Crane. They are one of the rarest bird spieces in North America, and protected by Canada, Mexico and in the USA. They are the tallest of North American birds and considered an endangered spieces. Their plumage makes for a perfect "feather bed" for their beaks.
