This gorgeous cerulean blue sky and lightly scattered clouds background, made for a Picture Perfect Morning for a branch filled with delightful crape myrtle flowers and numerous new buds.
This is a Pink Velour crape myrtle bush since the pinks are generally dark and have an almost magenta quality to them.
Crape Myrtles are chiefly known for their colorful and long-lasting flowers which occur in summer months. Flowers bloom in summer and autumn in panicles of crinkled flowers with a crepe-like texture. Colors vary from deep purple to red to white, with almost every shade in between, with the exception of blue.
DONNA PROCTOR FINE ART * * * * * * * * Fine art painter who also loves to shoot photography of wild life, nature and sometimes just things ... I am inspired by the beauty I see in every day life. My work is of the moment. What it was yesterday, what it is today and what it will be tomorrow is just a marker en-route to artistic self-expression. Personal expression is a life-long journey of joy, doubt, disappointment, celebration, challenges and so... With each new painting or photograph artists always feel like they could have done more, could have done it better but that's what drives us forward and lifts us to higher levels and, the best we can do is just leave behind our own personal signatures...

Beautiful picture Donna. I swear it could be the one I took this morning of our Crepe Myrtle. Same color too. Your information in the description was great. vote/fave/g+
