A beautiful large white egret relaxing on a branch at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in Florida.
This Great Egret II was so large, it was impossible to miss perched in the tree. It was surrounded by other branches and well shaded from the hot Florida sun.
Great Egrets are also known as common egrets, large egrets and great white herons. Mostly known for their size, they are quite regal birds and a favorite to photograph in Florida.
