The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Abraham Lincoln said - "I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him."
My inspiration for this art came after I read the above quote by Abraham Lincoln. I wanted to create a design with a grungy vintage appeal using my oil painting portrait of an American eagle with his eagle eye as the flag, layered over a larger image of the American flag.
The bald eagle is symbolic for the USA and America's indigenous First Nation/Native American people, our military veterans and those currently on active duty.
Giving this art the title of "American Pride" seemed only appropriate ...
