A beautifully graceful Florida flamingo on a black background.
American flamingo nesting its beak into it's feathers, at Homosassa Wildlife State Park in Homosassa, Florida.
This poised flamingo is also known as the Caribbean flamingo and is the only species that habitats naturally within North America. They are known to be the largest flamingo in all of the Americas.
These are one of the longest living birds with a life expectancy of around 40 years!
