Hemerocallis is native to Eurasia, including China, Korea, and Japan, and this genus is popular worldwide because of the showy flowers and hardiness of many kinds.
As one of the best repeat bloomers, this daylily blooms in early- to late-season and then repeats the cycle.
These perennials are grown for their showy and fragrant golden-yellow flowers. The plants will flower from early summer to fall and are semi-evergreen to evergreen in warmer climates.
Stella de Oro is the most popular of the daylilies for such traits as its ability to re-bloom over a long period, and its adaptability to a wide range of planting zones and conditions. Its foliage is attractive and forms a dense clump that functions as a groundcover.
